There have been several changes in Japan that have prevented wOw Japan from making the proper decisions to hold shows there as of right now.
After WMF's "final" show on February 11th, WMF main eventer Mr. Gannosuke (Masashi Honda) announced that the promotion would indeed return in August under new ownership. Previous head figured Hayabusa (Eiji Ezaki) has severed all official ties with WMF in order to focus on further rehabilitating himself after being paralyzed from the waist down in an October 2001 FMW match, as a result of a botched Lionsault. Hayabusa's current goal is to return for one last match five years from now, and to be back to leading a normal life ten years from now.
Another major change is wOw's relationship with ZERO-ONE Pro Wrestling. wOw/ZERO-ONE wrestler Masato Tanaka recently joined Fuyuki Army Promotions' Apache Army stable. Since Tanaka is the only ZERO-ONE wrester that wOw has interest in, it is unlikely that wOw will go out of its way to pay large sums of money to ZERO-ONE wrestlers like Shinjiro Otani and Dustin Rhodes just so that they can feel more open to having a ZERO-ONE wrestler on the roster. At the present time, the plan might be to have wOw team up with DDT (Dramatic Dream Team) to fight against the Apache Army, which contains wrestlers from WMF and FAP. This would create a "tag-team" promotional war angle of sorts, although the main focus would be on wOw vs. the Apache Army.
Another major development is that wOw World Champion Kevin Killgore has every intent to join wOw Japan when he loses the title, which would give the fledgling division some much needed credibility.
More news, and hopefully some eventual match cards, to come.
